Less chance to be approved by blog directories

I don’t get it. I have some blog directories listed in order for my site to be approved. I am promoting a dating site called Scanna, which I do blog posts in my general blog. But things get worse enough; some of them rejected my site and removed my account. I don’t know why? There are some blog directories that there’s no need to sign up but submit directly, while most of them needs sign up for an account. It makes me so tired about it, and my efforts are truly wasted because of rejecting my site and removed my account. I didn’t do this for spam purposes, but only for gaining backlinks to my site. I’m really frustrated about this and decided to move on to web directories, which are much easier for me.
